It's TIME!!!

No not Vader Time. Kudos to all the wrestling fans out there who got that one. Anyway, the box of Updates have arrived as you can see in the photo. I will let the breaking commence...as soon as I watch the Cardinals-Braves game that is. Really excited about the break. I will give a breakdown of the break pack by pack and feature the "best" card from the pack in a photo. Keep posted to find out who you got and who you can trade for.

One Word...UPDATE!!!

I know I'm about to bust a box for the First Ever Toddfather Group Break, but I just couldn't help myself. I didn't buy one pack or one double pack or one blaster box. Ok maybe I did. One of each. I was not disappointed. Great rookies, congruent inserts with the base set, and a nice patch from the blaster. Here's the highlights.

Trevor Brauer rookie, the unbeatable Kris Medlen, Buster Posey All-Star, and the blue Matt Harvey rookie. Nice and crisp. Great photography.

It was cool to get the Yu Darvish Rookie Debut and All-Star. Glad it's not the same picture, too. That'd be pretty disappointing.

I love the freeze-frame on Fernando Rodney's face. And I got it in the blue border as well. Also pretty cool.

This Hat Logo Patch Brooks Robinson card is definitely one of the best cards, if not the best, I've ever pulled from a Walmart Blaster box. Not to shabby, all in all. Definitely more excited for the group break now!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Not to toot my own horn, but today is my birthday. Hooray for me! The big 2-6. Starting to feel old, fellas. But anyway, the object of this post is not to talk about my birthday but to talk about the presents I got myself. On my lunch break from work, (yeah, I had to work) I drove 5 minutes down the road to the nearest hobby shop and added these Freddie Freeman gems to my upstart PC.

All 2011 rookie cards. Platinum, Finest, and Chrome. Awesome cards. Probably paid a little more than I wanted, but, you know, it's my birthday. The only other purchase I made was a pack of 2012 Chrome. And I was not disappointed.

A-Rod, Ackley, Harper and Lowe. A-Rod and Lowe went into my set. Ackley and Harper are extras and up for trade. I'm sure these are not the b-day purchases I'll be making tonight, thank you eBay, but it's a start.
